Data Transfer

In the context of hosting, data transfer refers to the amount of data that can be transferred between the server and website visitors/users within a given time period.

The following are actions that contribute to the data transferred by your hosting account:

  • Website visitors viewing your website
  • FTP Data transfer
  • Control Panel Usage
  • Adding and uploading content to website
  • Emails

When you have utilized the maximum amount of data allocated to your account for a given month, your website will become unavailable. For most of our clients, the allocated data transfer is more than sufficient for their needs. If you require additional data transfer allocation please contact our support team.
